Day #7 - Maui Travel Day - MJ

After leisurely packing, we made our way to the airport.  Island Air has about the smallest terminal ever.  They carefully weighed every bag - carry ons, too.  I had to move 8 pounds of my stuff out of my bag and disperse it to the other bags which hovered around 50 pounds.  (This ought to be interesting when we leave Maui in a few days.)

The plane was tiny - two seats on each side.  We walked to the plane from the gate on to the tarmac.  Our window seats had a full view of the propellers, and we could watch the propellers spin.  And we could hear them.  It was a bumpy ride at the end due to the trade winds of Maui.  The flight was quite an adventure.  In a week, we will be taking the adventure again!

Maui has a different, quieter feel than the craziness of Oahu (Waikiki).  I like it.  The condo has  four bedrooms and three bathrooms and is across the street from the beach.  Luke is happy with the ping pong table and the pool...Jake is happy that he has a twin bed that he does not have to share with his brother...the kids are happy to have together space and separate bedrooms.  Oh, and they are happy about Wifi - can't forget Wifi.

Tomorrow is another adventure.

Crazy thing of the day - Lara and I went to Target to buy food and odds and ends for the condo.  At check out we found out that they had NO plastic bags.  None.  Our choice was to buy Target bags or have no bags at all.  We bought two red Target bags and brought the rest of the items to the car in the cart.
